Recently I have the privilege to do environmental portraits of an great artist who is also my friend, Jacob Hostetter. He is known for his graphic style as you can see from the photos below. New York City Float Committee is street dance group that I've seen all over. I always take the time to stop and admire their skills. So far I think they have at least two different dance groups. These shots ware taken with Ilford Delta 400. It's a great film for a regular day when you never know what you will find. As I found these guys in Central Park.

Everything below has been heavily photoshoped. All I did was play around with the color curves. Even though everything has been modified, the feelings that I get from this set are more intense and real the the original pictures. I even sneaked in a HDR image. That was not easy with a lot of moving elements and at night.

I worked with great model recently. Wish I could take credit for the photographs but it was all her. She did her hair, makeup, and poses. I just helped with the lighting and camera. I'll soon post more photographs. I'll also post not so good ones to show you what to watch out for.

Here's a few photographs form their concert at the Terra Blues Club. It was a good time for music and photographs. There was not much space though and I had to be really careful about blocking the band from public view. Hope you enjoy.

Here is a small gallery of my Central Park fall photographs. Some of them I even use as my wallpaper. Larger version of course. This shows you don't need to be in a country far far away for beautiful photographs. They ware shot with a Canon 5D Mark one and the 24-70mm L Lense. For any one who says you can't shot on a contrasty day, high noon, show them this:)

This here is just a small preview of what I will post about Poland. I met some great people there who ware real friendly. They ware the fire spinners of Warsaw.

FujiNeopan 1600 (ISO)

I have been recently shooting with Fuji Neopan 1600. I shot at 1600 and the development time was 7min. I expected the film to be a little on the contrast side and with a good amount of grain. To counteract that I slowed my agitation speed and force. I think over all The development was successful. When I was shooting at night I was a bit worried about trusting the camera light meter. The Camera was Nikon FM2 with a 1.14 50mm lens. I decided to go for it. It paid off.

Here are two images that I am having a tough time editing. I like them both for different reasons. The first image has great texture and reflection while the second had a shadow isn't cut off. I feel I should have used the first pictures setting, on the second composition. Yet would the shadow be as highlighted?

It's hard to take night pictures.

Even with a high ISO, night pictures have very limited light. It was raining the night I took this photo. I was more focused on the steam then anything else. It giving a very dramatic look to the location, then I noticed a woman coming with in umbrella. I was getting ready to take the shot but the angle and smoke did not work. I waited about 30 minutes for the next right shot. And this was it.

Plenty of people can say things a lot more eloquently. I'll just use my pictures to speak for themselves. Most times at least.

Limitless or not, if you take a photograph and there is no one to see it what's the point? That's why I'm doing this and I hope that's why your here.
